In delegation of the Attorney General, the Deputy Prosecutor General in charge of the Office of the Legal Adviser advises the President and all executive agencies. The Office prepares the legal opinions of the Attorney-General and provides its own written statements and other advice in response to requests from the President`s Adviser, the various executive bodies and other components of the Ministry of Justice. These requests generally relate to legal issues of particular complexity and importance or those on which two or more organizations disagree. The Office is also responsible for reviewing and commenting on the constitutionality of outstanding legislation. The Advocate General acts as the Chief Legal Officer of the Office and Senior Legal Counsel to the Director and the Departments and Offices of the Office. The Advocate General heads the legal department and manages its four offices. (3) Maximize the recovery of sums owed to the State through judicial proceedings. The mission of the Buffalo Office of Legal Aid is to sue to improve the lives of low-income people in western New York through legal advice and advocacy. The Ethics Office within the GLE administers the Office`s State Ethics Program. The Litigation and Oversight Office represents the Office in all defence and appeals disputes and advises the Director and office components on matters that pose legal and other risks.
The office also helps manage the office`s responses to regulators. The Legal Department provides the Office with legal advice on the work and functioning of the Agency. The Office of Law and Policy advises the Director and the Executive and Mission Units of the Office on the powers and responsibilities of the Office, the interpretation of federal consumer credit law and administrative law matters. The Office helps to ensure that it adopts consistent and well-informed legal positions in all areas of its functions, including rule-making, monitoring, enforcement and consumer education. The overall objective of the Bureau of Legal Services Program is to provide professional legal representation and services to the Department and all of its offices and/or facilities. Representation is ongoing and services are provided as required or required. The program deals with legal issues related to the day-to-day operation of the agency and the provision of services to its clients.
