Through our legal advocacy program, Advancing Justice | AAJC influences important civil rights issues that have a significant impact on Asian Americans and immigrant communities, both in court and through technical assistance to our community partners. We pursue impact litigation in federal courts, file amicus curia briefs, including in U.S. Supreme Court cases, and work with the Coalition for Race and Social Justice to creatively advance key issues. We are part of a UW public service tradition, providing world-class legal education to U.S. and international lawyers with a focus on Asia. We support the legal profession and government agencies with expert research on Asian and evolving legal systems. We help train the next generation of lawyers, academics and policymakers in Asia and developing countries through our rigorous LLM and PhD programs.
