The New Zealand Defence Force`s Legal Advisers (LEGAD) operate in what could be described as “specialized general practice”. As a military legal advisor, your career can vary greatly depending on the position you hold, but the main areas in which you can practice are: Training is divided into three modules and participation in modules one, two and three is mandatory for all Regular Force Officer Cadets. Officer cadets from the Reserve Force Special List must participate in Modules One and Three; This can be in the same year or in consecutive years. Initial training begins in early January.
